A sample of 120 agricultural science students and 20 agricultural science teachers in senior secondary schools, Nigeria forms the sample size i.e. 140 respondents. Four research questions and four null hypotheses guided the study. The instrument for data collection was a 40 item researchers made structured questionnaire built on a 4-point rating scale. The

reliability index values of 0.88 and 0.79 were obtained using Pearson Production Moment Correlation Coefficient technique content and face validity were established by two experts. Means and standard deviation values were used
to answer the research questions while t-test statistical tool was used to test the hypotheses. At 0.05 level of significance at 138 degree of freedom. Findings indicated the following: career opportunities exist in agricultural education for students of senior secondary schools in the study area; teachers use instructional facilities for effective teaching and learning of skill acquisition by students; and teacher-related factors enhances students skill acquisition in production agriculture.
